Something special in the mail....

It snowed all night long--I think at least.

I didn't stay up and watch it to make sure, but it looked like it when I woke up.

See my flowers covered in snow.

So pretty!

Matt took this picture for me:)

Looking at this picture reminds me of me right now. Lots of hard things going on, trimming--remember:), yet I know I will survive through it all and be better because of it. See the flowers--they are hanging down a little. Worn down by the cold and weight of the snow, but they will survive and become beautiful! They will brighten my day, and the day of anyone who comes by my home and sees them. Trials are here to make us stronger better people. So even though it snowed and life is full of challenges and changes right now, I can trust in the Lord and make it through---better for the experience.

I got an extra special surprise in the mail today!

We usually are too lazy to pick our mail up on Saturday.

You see, we live in the county, just barely--so the USPS won't deliver our mail to our home. We have to have a post office box. So we just usually skip getting it on Saturday.

But this morning Holly & Juanita sent Matt a text telling him to be sure and get the mail today.

They know us pretty well.

They sent me something special that they wanted to be sure I got today:)

A care package:)

This was part of the note inside--written on the paper from the shoe box it was sent in....

They were sure to send it with tons of "fat free" treats.

These are Swedish fish--which have a special meaning for me.

When I had my first miscarriage Juan came to visit me.

She brought a whole box of Swedish fish with her and we laid on my bed together eating the fish, crying, talking and even laughing. We ate the entire box in one afternoon while Matt was at work--we didn't share a single one with him or anyone else. Pretty horrible, I know. We made ourselves sick--but it was oh so worth it. So now whenever I see Swedish fish, I remember my sister taking time out of her busy life to come and grieve with me. Everyone should have at least one sister who will do this with them in the hard times.

Matt didn't understand the package.

A half eaten cookie, part of a roll, a YUMMY candy bar with bites taken out of it, cinnamon bears with obvious chunks being eaten, Swedish fish taped closed again, etc. They shared it all with me! I laughed and cried and missed them both so much! And Matt swore he wouldn't eat a bit of it--he's a little bit of a germ freak:) But the rest of my boys are having fun sharing it with me:) And I have to be honest and tell you that I am giving all the half eaten things with Kevin--who doesn't notice the bites at all. I tried giving one to David, and he acted pretty much the same way as Matt:)

The first look inside the box.

Matt was so happy to get the mail and deliver my special package to me.

So now I'm sending a big THANK YOU out to Juanita and Holly! You truly are some of the best sisters ever, my favorites:)---along with several others, and I love you both TONS!

THANK YOU---THANK YOU---THANK YOU
