Knitting, Flowers, Babies, & Dinner

Last night I got to babysit Nadia's baby--Brenda.

She is only 2 weeks old.

I am AMAZED that Nadia was able to leave her.

For 2 1/2 hours no less.

Her husband begged her forever for a date.

He kept telling her and telling her that they had to get Brenda used to other people so they could go on dates and leave her every once in a while.

So Nadia did it!

And I am SO HAPPY that she did!!!

We all spoiled that little girl rotten with love.

Every boy took turns holding and oohing over her.

The older boys were lucky enough to get to sit and hold her on their own--with me right close of course--I am a little paranoid in that way. Holly told me I could just have Ryan babysit her. No way! She's way too young for that. Kevin had to sit on my lap and hold her--which he LOVED!!! He seriously didn't want anyone else to have a turn. Every time she would make any noise at all, Kevin would jump and run and tell everyone that she was waking up. He loved when she opened her eyes:)

We had a great night, and it helped pass the time till Matt was able to get home.

This is a little flower I made for little Brenda. And I spent half of the day yesterday learning to turn the heel on two at a time socks from the toe up. Look--but not too close--I did it:) Now to finish the socks. And tonight is David's dinner night. He wants Omelet Roll. Seriously?!!! He can't make that himself--I have never even made it before. Here we go again, I will be spending the afternoon figuring out how on earth you do that. At least I do have a recipe from a friend--so I can call her. Have a great weekend! We are going to till our garden:)
