David was playing with my phone last week.
Here are some photos he took.....
Yesterday was a joke. Really, it was. Not even sure why I even got up in the morning.....which I did, ridiculously early for not having church till 1:00 p.m. That was Matt's fault, he had an old man meeting at 6:00 a.m. It's hard to sleep in when your sweetheart isn't there to snuggle up to. I bathed Kevin at 8:00, Jason climbed in with him. I was thinking, sweet---2 down, 3 to go. Then I got everyone fed and Shannon and Derek came to pick Anthony up and take him home. After that all the boys disappeared outside. Outside to the dirt, mud, and yes, even chicken poop. Kevin and Jason both had to shower again.
Church was great, I am sure. Even if I didn't hear a word of it.
Kevin crawled under the benches faster than I could grab him. David was so hot he could hardly stand it. Jason kept falling asleep on me. Ryan was trying to be the boss of everyone. And Jared sat in the corner playing with a paper airplane. Matt couldn't help but laugh several times as he looked at us. Then Kevin fell asleep during the closing song in Sacrament meeting. Really----why?! So, I was leading music with a 36lb kid in my arms to a bunch of 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7 yr olds. Not even funny! Matt came in as soon as he could to take him, but I just kept him because I knew if he transferred arms then he would wake up and be HORRIBLE!
By the time the last hour of church finally came I had had it, and so had Kevin. He just wanted his Daddy. So, I walked right into their meeting--in the middle of the opening song, got the Bishop to look at me, because Matt didn't notice me, and had him nudge Matt. I eagerly passed Kevin off to him :). As I was walking out a very nice Grandpa who must have had his hearing aids turned down too low, said very loud, "It's about time a women did that. I have been waiting for years to see it." Then he laughed-----so did I. I felt free:)
So the last hour should have gone better, but I was still pretending to lead music. It wouldn't be so bad, but I have to teach them a song for Mother's Day. Yup. I know, it's funny.
When night finally came I just fell into bed completely done in.
Done.
Tired.
My body just slept and slept and slept.
Until Matt gently put his arms around me early this morning to remind me that we needed to go running. I just melted into his arms and made him hold me for five minutes before I would move.
I needed that.
The run was great. Refreshing.
And perfect for a Monday morning.
Next Sunday will be better.
I just know it:)

Sundays can be so exhausting! :) Sometimes I think Ben sits on the stand and laughs at the fiascos that go on from time to time on our bench.
