School is out!
Ryan and David walked home from school yesterday.
From the school to our house is around 9 miles.
Yes, they really did walk/run the whole way.
And being the not so smart mom that I am, I forgot to take some pictures of them.
But I did take a couple of Jared and Jason:)--because they didn't walk.
Jared with all his last day of school stuff.
Jason, showing off his gum. They were out at 10:00 am so Kevin and I picked them up and played on the play ground for a while before going home.
And this is what happens to Kevin when all the boys are home.....
He refuses to lay down for a nap because he's having way too much fun with his brothers. This is where I found him at about 2:45 this afternoon. Aw, poor boy. He's still in his jammies too. Do you think I have been neglectful today?......I guess so.We did something special for Jason's birthday this year. And I have some pretty awesome pictures of it all, but once again technology has gotten the best of me and I can't find them. But I will tell you about it.
He woke up--earlier than Matt and I--to search for 10 balloons hidden around the house with treats tied to each one. Pringles, cotton candy, gum, and even money to one of them. He was the happiest boy ever:). We also gave him a bow and arrows for his special day. Matt and I went shopping together for his gift. We talked with the guy selling the bows and arrows to make sure we got the best. That's what you have to get when you are giving them to a boy like Jason. He's pretty rough on everything, so we wanted it all to last a LONG time. We bought the most expensive and very best arrows--3 of them. Before 24 hours was up, Jason had broken 2 of them and lost 1. I am about ready to go and tell the salesman that they need to make them even stronger than that, because he assured me that they were impossible to break. Whatever......impossible to break just gives little boys the desire to prove them wrong. And my Jason can always prove them wrong:)--oh how I love that little boy of mine!!
Happy Birthday Jason!!!
Now that summer is here, my blog posts are bound to slow down. It's hard to do this with boys all around me reading and helping me out. I can't think with all the talking........but I wouldn't trade it. So I am going to apologize now for my lack of posts that are about to happen.
Happy Summer:)
