Holly is here spending some time with me:)
I love it!
Time with my sister.
This morning Ryan and David missed the bus.
It was a problem with running, hiding, kicking, and a bad cut hand when they should have been making beds, brushing teeth, combing hair, and coming downstairs to read scriptures. Yeah, not such a good morning.
So Holly and I hurried and threw some clothes on the kids (Kevin and Addie--Ryan and David did dress themselves) and drove them to school.
We had planned on going shopping today anyway.
So as we ran out of the house--after re-wrapping Ryan's cut in his hand--we thought we had everything we needed to stay and go shopping.
I forgot the list.
We did manage to go shopping without it though:)
3 stores, 1 gas station, 1 bank, and 1 pizza restaurant later--we were home.
It only took 1/2 an hour to get everything in the house and put away:)
And I have to tell you what happened at the gas station.......FUNNY!
My suburban takes LOTS of gas.
I have to fill it till the card won't take any more money, and then put the card in again and put even more gas in. It really hurts the pocket book. But it does leave a lot of time to watch the people around you while you are getting gas.
There was this very business like lady who came in front of me with a nice economic car. She pulled up, to a pump that had a huge sign on it saying,
OUT
OF
ORDER
I thought she was just waiting for my gas hog to move out of the way.
I thought she was just waiting for my gas hog to move out of the way.
Well, she walked right past the sign, grabbed the hose, and pulled it to her car. It didn't quite reach, so she put it back, climbed into her car and pulled forward. By this point, I was backing out. I thought that she had for sure noticed the sign now.
Nope. She pulled forward just enough to have the hose reach the tank. Put the hose in and then proceeded to put her card into the slot. Only then did she read the sign---and it looked like she read it 3 or 4 times:). Poor lady--she must have had a lot on her mind. But Holly and I sure got a good laugh out of it!
