It is the last day of school today.
Really that was yesterday though.
All of the kids only went until 10 this morning, so that doesn't really count.
We are relaxing and enjoying the day.
Doing whatever we want with friends and each other.
Kevin found the ultimate spot outside--the only little bit of mud left in the entire yard.
Now, as you look at these pictures you might think that I was inside when he got the idea. But I promise you, I wasn't. He and I were outside playing with his little tractor and bike enjoying the sun. He took his tractor over the the mud and told me it could drive there. Then he moved the tractor away and went in himself:)
I watched it all with all kinds of fond memories of me growing up playing in the mud flowing through my head.
This is just as he started. He was very carefully "washing" his legs--as he put it.
I was smart enough to remove the shirt before it went too far.By this point I had run inside and got the video camera.
Have to have this on video!
All done having his "bath"--that is what he told me he was doing as I recorded him:)And for those of you who think this is horrible and kids shouldn't play in the mud........
I hosed him off as good as I could and brought him inside to the tub.
Perfect!
If you have never played in the mud, just go try it. The way is squishes between your toes is so much fun! Trust me.......don't think about all the clean up you are going to have to do, just focus on the fun, like a kid would do.
Yeah, mud is fun......as long as it's kept outside:)
