Today we went to the hospital.
Just Kevin and I.
When he got his shots a little over a week ago the Dr. heard a heart murmur.
Nothing too unusual--I thought.
But he wanted further testing done.
I didn't want to.
But both the Dr. and Matt thought I should.
So off we went bright and early.
I was pretty nervous to even tell him where we were going. After all, he has just recently gone to the dentist for the first time, and then right after that he goes to the Dr. and they give him 2 shots in his cute little legs! He hated it!
So, to tell him that we are going to yet another kind of Dr. wasn't my most favorite part of the day. Of course, he surprised me--like he does in almost everything--and took it in stride.
He couldn't wait to climb up on it.
He's all hooked up and ready for the pediatric EKG.
Wow--he actually enjoyed himself.
He told the nice man running the machine, named Ben, all about how he loves food and tasting things. He talked about how big he is and how he likes to grow. He said his favorite thing to taste is candy:) (Then when I was helping him back on with his jacket, candy fell out of his pockets that had been there since Valentines Day and I had no idea! He wasn't too happy when I told him hospital floors where not OK to eat off of and threw it all away.)
Everything tested normal and fine.
I was pretty sure that's how it would be.
So was the Dr.
So was Matt.
But better safe than sorry:)
My garage right now.
Nope, can't park in it.
Matt, Ryan, David, & lots of other scouts are out in the freezing cold weather right now trying to sleep in a snow cave. Crazy--I know. Since Matt is the Scout Master, they all met at our home yesterday and noon. They unloaded their scout trailer into my garage, loaded it back up with only what they needed for this trip, took my 9 passenger Suburban--full of scouts, and left to go build a cave and do some cross country skiing. I miss them and can't wait for them to get home and sit in front of the fire to thaw out.
