It's Friday!

Last night wasn't such a great night for me.
Ryan, my teenager, has 2 huge school projects due today.
He has known about them for at least two weeks.
I have been asking him EVERY DAY to work on them.
He didn't even start either one of them until yesterday.
Not good.
My bedtime is 9:00--I wake up early--5:15 is when my alarm goes off so I can exercise, although I must be honest and tell you that I haven't really exercised for about a week and a half now. My alarm goes off and I lay in bed snuggled to my sweetheart Matt, and talk and talk and talk. We've got some pretty amazing things going on right now, and that's the best time to talk about it all and the changes that could happen in our lives.
Anyway, I told Ryan I would be up until 9 to help him, then I was going to bed.
Well--I was a push over. I looked at my little boy who I used to rock and sing to, then read book after book to, and I couldn't leave him sitting all alone late at night like that.
So I stayed up until 11:00 helping him.
The only way I was able to stay awake was by keeping my hands busy knitting while I answered his questions. After it was all done, I asked him if he could possibly listen to me the next time I asked him to work on his projects a little each day when he learned about them.
He said he could.
So, Ryan, I'll have you read this the next time you don't:)
Then to top it all off, I got a phone call this morning just after 8:00.
It was Ryan.
He forgot one of his big projects at home.
Could I please bring it to him right away because it was due second hour.
Sure Ryan.
No problem.
I love you.
I was tired. Feeling glum.
I dressed Kevin, climbed in the car, and drove to Ephraim to give Ryan his homework.
I got there right after the bell for first hour rang.
There were kids everywhere.
I had to weave in and out of them to get to the office.
Right before I walked in, Ryan called "Hey, Mom!"
I turned to see my handsome son who had given me such stress the night before.
He had a huge smile on his face.
He gave me a huge hug!
Right in front of all his friends!!!
Wow!
I love being a Mom:)
On another note......
Yes, this is a toilet lid.
With pink stamps all over the top of it---just two hours after I had washed it!
And the door next to the bathroom covered in them also.
How does a house full of boys even have a pink butterfly stamp in it?!

Then yet another note......
It was the Blue and Gold dinner for Cub Scouts last night.
This is my handsome Jared posing in the poster they had up because the derby is next month.
Life is good.
