I'm trying to be optimistic here, not think of the 17 hours of driving ahead of me.
We bought a DVD player for the car, and it even entertained Kevin, for a little while at least. The rest of the kids loved every minute of their TV time while in the car.
Matt drove all but 1/2 hour on the way there. It was that or try and take care of screaming Kevin. He opted for the lesser of the two and finally bought some ear plugs for on the way home. Although I did drive a lot more coming home.

We left on April 8th at 3:30 p.m. bound for Independence, MO. We saw Liberty, Independence, Richmond, Far West, Adam-ondi-Ahem, Nauvoo, St. Louis, Iowa, and too much of Kansas and a lot of Colorado. What a fun, fun time we had (not to mention all the trauma Kevin went through and put us all through being trapped in his car seat for soooo very long). We stayed on vacation until the 17th. It might take me a few days, but I'm going to try and capture all the fun times we had (that we actually took pictures of--we did mostly video) and post them on here.
Sounds like a fun trip! I have never been to a church history site east of Utah. I think it's time, don't you?
ReplyDeleteDefinetly time. It looks like you are having lots of fun and staying pretty busy. How about coming and staying with us during the Mormon Miracle Pageant? We'd love to see you all again!
