This picture was taken around 2:30 in the morning (give or take a little). We left after the kids got out of school with the intention of driving all night, switching between Matt and I driving as needed. The idea was that Kevin, and the rest of the boys, would sleep and not give us any trouble complaining about being trapped. Well, my only suggestion is to never think you can do that with a 15 month old. Kevin hated every minute of it and refused to sleep! We finally pulled over at a rest stop in Kansas and let him out of his seat. The wind was blowing like crazy, but Matt, David, and Jason got sleeping bags and went and slept on the ground outside. Their were some bushes and some nice grass. Ryan, Jared, Kevin and I stayed in the car. Ryan and Jared managed to get a little sleep. I got a lot less, and Kevin was content on playing in the car, happy as could be. I was really wishing he could drive for a while...
