Stitches on a Sunday......

Sunday afternoon Matt, Kev and I walked to our neighbors house to meet them and welcome them to our small little neighborhood.
(The Rackham's sold their home.)
While we were visiting with them Jared came running over to let us know that Jason had cut his hand really bad.
"There is blood gushing everywhere" were his words.
We ran home and found blood everywhere, just like we were told, starting in the garage and moving through the laundry room, kitchen, and family room.
Jason was laying on the couch, white as can be while still living, with David applying direct pressure to his finger holding it high above his head.
Matt and I examined the damage, mostly Matt, my stomach wasn't letting me do much.
A phone call to our nice Dr. saved us a trip to the emergency room :)
He met us at his office.
The end result, 5 stitches.
But no nerve or tendon damage.
Amazing with how deep of a cut it was, and where it was located on the finger.
 How did it happen?
Jason was making a knife which has become a popular thing to do in my house thanks mostly to Grandpa Swain.
He decided the handle was a little long--I need to insert here that this isn't an approved Sunday activity.
So out to the garage he went to cut the round handle already attached to the homemade blade on the mitre saw---a big no no! He isn't even allowed to use that saw, Sunday or not.
The blade of the saw caught the handle, flipped the blade he was practically already holding, and sliced his finger.
He learned a lesson, without loosing his finger :)
What a blessing!
I love my Jason and all of his curiosity!!!!
So glad he had angles watching over him.

Now I just need to get some homemade salsa over to Dr. Armstrong for a big thank you for helping us :)
