Kev was late to school....for a good reason :)

Before I get into this....my pics are working now.

So here's the one of Kev knitting :)

And here's why he was late to school....

We went out to get on the 4-wheeler, because lately that's his most favorite way to go anywhere.

As I was walking up to it I saw a mouse!

I stopped, told Kev what I saw and he instantly jumped into action!

"Wait Mom! I get it. I take care of it!"

Off he ran to get a shovel and this is the result.....

 Yes he got it.

And then insisted on giving it a proper burial.

It should be noted here that Jason's favorite activity is killing mice right now.

He has traps set all over, checks them constantly, and then buries the ones he catches.

Kev is just following in his footsteps :)

 

I've been having a miracle in my garden this year.

Only with one veggie, the rest is pretty much no good.

But the green beans just keep on coming!

Seriously, I've never had this happen before.

 I've been picking all summer!

 

And although my tomatoes didn't do well at all this year I have an amazing friend....Erin....who got some tomatoes for me.

This is what I did all day yesterday.....

That's Salsa.....Lots and lots of salsa!

I was processing it till almost 11:00 pm

(A little side note, this picture was taken before I even had everything in yet.  This is in Erin's double pressure cooker, which is HUGE. I had to get another BIG pot out and split it between them both. I got 28 quarts and 3 pints out of it all. Amazing!)
