Kevin went to the hospital in Provo early Tuesday morning.
Matt and I had to be on the road by 5:15 am to get him there on time.
Ugh.
Erin is a saint and let us drop the older 4 boys off at her house at that insane hour so they would for sure get to school on time.
Kev was pretty happy at first.....
He loved all of the attention he got, and his bag full of stickers, papers, crayons, & tractor he got to keep :)
He wasn't so sure about the hat they made him put on just before the took him from me.
I wasn't so sure about them taking him from me!
I was SO nervous to have my little Kev get wheeled away from me.
Matt wasn't so happy about it either :(
He was miserable and lost when then brought him back to me just under an hour after they took him.
I was busy knitting his socks with "his yarn" that he picked out himself and held all of the way from Manti the the front doors of the hospital. He kept calling it his knitting--so cute!
I crawled in bed with my precious little guy and just held him close, rubbing his arms, legs, tummy & face.
He didn't perk up until they put the Tylenol with codine into his little system, then he was all smiles and played with the remote to the TV for half an hour. He didn't watch anything, just kept changing the channels :)
By the time we left he was all smiles and so happy to get a ride in a wheel chair :)
He was most happy to get the crazy needle out of his hand, and even helped the nurse take all the tape off and pull it out. Such a big boy :)
At home now he hates his drugs and would rather hurt than take them.
When they are in his system he runs and plays just like normal. In fact, the say we got home he insisted on going to Brayden's house and playing--which I gave in and let him do for a while, only if he agreed to let me watch him the entire time. So I don't force him to take the drugs until bed time, that way he knows he hurts and doesn't try and do things he shouldn't.
He has me sit and hold him most of the day, and all night.
And I love it!--the holding him part, not the part where he hurts. Ouch......
