Happy 4th of July!

Happy July 4th!!

Happy Independence day:)

We got up early this morning and ran a 5K as a family.

Tons of fun.

Kevin had it easiest, riding in the stroller the entire time.

David and Jason ran ahead of us and stayed at the front of the pack.

The rest of us stayed together at the middle:)

It's going to be a new tradition for us.

The entire family running all the 5K's we can.

The boys have been working hard cleaning up the Rackham's house.

Jared, Kevin, Ryan, Jason, David

They have their work cut out.....and they are loving it.

The entire time they work they talk about all the money they are going to have:)

The first day they worked for 7 hours--well, Ryan, David & Jason did.

They bounced from one flower bed to the next, so you couldn't really tell they had done much.

So, we didn't let them charge the Rackham's any money for that day.

They weren't very happy--but they need to learn work ethics now.

So the next day they worked 4 hours--that was also a rule we gave them.  We told them they still need to be kids.

And in the 4 hours they worked that day you could really tell they had been working:)

Awesome!

Today we are going to play at the park.

Egg toss

Sack races

Greece pole

Watermelon bust

Tug of war

etc.

Lots of fun here on the 4th:)

Tonight we will BBQ and watch the fire works.
