We had a very special, fun day today.
I will post about part of it now, and will try and get the rest of our day posted tomorrow.
Jared was baptised today--pictures on that tomorrow.
It was so special!
I will give more on that tomorrow.
Because of this very special time for Jared, Grandma & Grandpa Swain, & Uncle Walter, Aunt Susan & Dominic came to visit for the day.
They taught us how to make a friction fire:)
First Grandpa showed us how.......So neat!
Dad Swain made over 100 kits for some High Priest activity in Vernal.
He gave us lots of them so we could have fun also:)
All trying in vain to make a friction fire.
We have had the kits for over a month, but haven't taken the time to learn how to use them.
Grandpa called a few weeks ago to ask why I hadn't tried yet.
I told him I hadn't had the time.
He asked to speak with Ryan so he could teach him how to use them over the phone.
I said no way, I want to be the cool mom and light the first one.
I worked on it for over an hour today before I finally figured it out......I almost gave up.
So glad I didn't------I was the first one (besides Grandpa, but we weren't counting him because he's had tons of experience) to get a fire going.
The boys had all given up by this point and went inside where it wasn't so hot.
I made the boys come out quick and see that their mom really did it.
They didn't believe that I really did until Matt and Grandpa told them that I did.
Then Matt had to make one too:)
