Big Tree, Water Fights, & Maren

I haven't blogged like I should lately.
Kevin has been sick.
Really, really, really sick.
High fever, swollen sore tonsils, headache, body aches, all over kind of sick.
He has me hold him at least half of every day.
On the second day of his sickness I took him to the Dr. thinking he had strep throat.
Nope, he didn't.
We put him on an antibiotic anyway.....but it's not doing anything:(
By the 4th day of his sickness he wouldn't lay on the couch, or even let me hold him while sitting on the couch.
Why?
"No mom! This couch makes me sick."
He is convinced that it is the couches fault. :)
He is slowly getting better.
Slowly.
I had to miss Lexi's baptism yesterday because he was still sick.
That made me way sad and way homesick for my family.
Ahhhhh, the joys of children:)
I love my little boys, and my big boys:)
And I'm so glad that just being in my arms makes them feel so much better.

But, here's a re-cap on what we have tried to do while Kev has been sick.
Remember, Hannah was here on vacation the entire week.....so we had to have some fun.
So we went to the big tree:)
 David, Abby, Kevin, Hannah
The tree is sadly starting to die.
It won't be there much longer.
It's a little ways up Ephraim Canyon.
So take a drive and a short hike to take a look, it will only be there a little while longer, 3 years at the most.
I carried Kev to the tree, and Hannah carried him back to the car.
He was attached to Hannah almost as much as he was to me:)
 Kev, Hannah, Jason, Ryan, Jared
We had one too many kids needed to go around the tree
Here's all my sweet kiddo's, and a few adopted ones, next to the tree:)

Remember how I told you about the water fight we had last Sunday?
This is how it started.....
 Matt & I were inside.
We heard water running and lots of laughter outside.
So we looked out the window and saw Hannah armed with a hose, and the boys armed with buckets and cups.  Everyone was soaked!
So Matt and I went and joined in the fun:)

Sherry, Mike, & Maren came to pick Hannah up on Friday.
Maren had me fix her hair:)
Isn't she beautiful!
I used to fix her hair lots when we lived next to them in Idaho.
It was so fun to fix again and have all the memories of happy times as the Jacobs for my neighbors.
Oh to have them next to me again.......
