The paint job...

As you can see--I didn't do anything but paint all Friday afternoon and Saturday, all day long!
That's clean laundry waiting to be given to the proper people to put away.
So, I'm not sure if I like the color.
And I ran out of paint!
After two gallons, and not being sure if I liked it, I wasn't about ready to put more money into.
But it's growing on me.
Matt and I decided that I need to do big brown stripes on one wall, and make sew curtains and pillows cases to tie it all together. I tried to talk him into me making a new blanket too, but he's too sentimental and wants the one we have now for the rest of his life.
The bad thing is, I made it so sturdy that it will most likely last through all of his life and a few generations after that also!
So the blanket will never really look great, but it's Matt's room too, and he loves it. So it stays:)
This is my favorite part--and I didn't even paint it.
Dad and Mom Swain gave me the desk years ago.
I bought the stuff from Karlyn Heeder years ago.
Now I put them both together, and I LOVE it!
I like to decorate (what little I do) with things that remind me of people I love.
This awesome hunting turkey and yellow bowl are from Grandma Rackham.
The amazing picture (that is perfect for a mother of 5 boys) is from my amazing, awesome, wonderful sis--Juanita. It's a picture of Christ with a mom and her little boy in front of it. The little boy is trying to walk just like Jesus in the picture and the mom is helping and encouraging him. I hope I can learn to do that better.
The Manti Temple is from center pieces at out wedding.
Even the phone is one I dropped in paint one day:) It hardly works anymore--so I guess I will replace it sometime.
Dad is home and recovering. He's tired, very tired, but home. :)
