Wow......

So I have lots of good excuses for not blogging.

The main one being my computer never works anymore.....in fact right now I'm using a really old laptop my dad gave my boys while we were visiting at the end of the summer.....half the keys are missing....that makes this pretty hard!

But I miss blogging.

It's an out for me.

I can't explain it.

But I miss it like I do a good good friend.

So I'm dealing with the missing keys......

Summer is gone....long gone.....except for Kev.....He doesn't get to start preschool till next week.....yes it's been very hard on him.

A quick recap of my summer......

Pageant all June....like always it was wonderful and exhausting at the same time.

July was Scout camp, girls camp, youth conference, and such....it was gone before it started.

August we got a little firewood--still have 6 cord to get--and Matt, Ryan, David, & Jason went on a 50 mile backpacking trip while Jared, Kevin & I went to Vernal to visit family.  That's a post in and of itself that needs lots of  pics. :)

Now School is in full swing and I'm preserving food like crazy daily.  LOVE it! My hands are brown from all the peaches and pears I've been putting up the last 2 days.  One more box to go :)!

My health is improving daily which is a huge blessing.  Today Matt and I are pretty sure we have it all figured out. That will take a bit of explaining, but it will be so worth it for me.  I feel a huge weight being lifted off my shoulders!

I had a huge WOW today....something I hope to never repeat.  It involved police, a dog, and our lamb Black Socks.  A dog has killed 3 of our 4 sheep.  Black Socks was the last. This morning as I was washing jars getting ready for my day of canning, Kev came running in to tell me there was a dog in the yard.  Sure enough, poor Black Socks was bleeding pretty bad and the dog was right there.  I called the police and kept the dog close without getting close to it myself.  It was a sure answer to prayer as that was all I was doing the entire time---"Please don't let that dog hurt Kev or me, and please let it stay here until the police arrive." It worked.  The dog is now in the pound and the very nice officer used Matt's very nice new gun--that I call mine:)--to help me with Black Socks.  He was hurt way too bad to live and Matt was out of town on work. I had to ask someone for help--who better than a police officer? :)

Now, through all this you would think little Kev would be traumatized. Ha!  Not at all. I was more affected by it than him. Seriously, where did this little guy come from?!  He has me on my toes always.  David and Jason were kind enough to haul Black Socks body away when they got home from school.  The only boy who was emotionally hurt by it all was my sweet Jared.  He cried for a good 30 min. on Sunday when we found Buddy & Speedy with their chests ripped open.  It was horrible. But today he handled it all in stride and is just glad he doesn't have to worry about keeping them safe anymore.

There's so much I want to talk about on here.  I went to visit Yasmine yesterday. That was such an amazing healing experience for me! I will type it all in later:)  It will take some time.  But for now I will just say that it meant the world to me to be able to talk with someone who understood exactly how I feel without me saying or explaining a thing.  She is an angel!!!!

........I'm back :) :) :)
