Funeral

Matt and I met at college.
Snow College....the happiest Snow on earth :)
I love that college still.
While we were there we lived in a wonderful ward full of wonderful people guided by an amazing bishop.
So amazing that I'm pretty sure he holds the record for engagements in his ward.
35
Yup, I'm serious.
And that only counts those in his ward---like if a girl was in his ward and got engaged to a guy who lived in a different ward, he only counted the girl in is ward.
35---wow.
Matt and I were included in that number.
So were Brandon and Alisa Olson.
They were some of those pretty amazing people.
Matt had gone to school with Brandon since kindergarten.
Alisa was from Sandy and it was her second year at Snow.
It was my first.
I didn't do a lot with either one of them.
A few times since we have moved back to Sanpete County I have run into them and it's been fun to talk and catch up.
But there was never a deep friendship with me, just an acquaintance.
I'm sad about that now, and wish I would have given them both more time to get to know them.
You see, Alisa has had brain cancer for just over 10 years.
It was in remission for a while.
She has 3 beautiful children.
She passed away March 6.
Today was her funeral.
I got to know her a lot more today.
I got to see what and amazing talented person she really was.
And I am so thankful that I got to know her just a tiny bit.
My prayers go out to her husband and children and the strength they will continue to need for years to come.
They are amazing!
We can all learn from Brandon and Alisa.
Take the time to love, really love and enjoy the most important things in life.
