A little paint and a piano...

Here it is! A Piano!! We've wanted one for years. Matt found this one on KSL and we drove to Layton Wednesday afternoon, met Karlinda and Scott, and loaded and brought it home. A big thanks to Scott for helping load it--oh and Kurls for holding the music holder--that's about all she could do, and to their kids for playing with Kevin while we got it all situated. Also, a big thanks to Erin for keeping my other 4 boys while Matt, Kevin, and I traveled to get the piano. I was thrilled to get this, and had some paint that I was wanting to use in my living room--but it wasn't looking too good in their. So, I spent Thursday painting and then that night we got a couple young men in our ward to come and show their muscles off and move it in for us--so a big thanks to them also. Anyway, this is Kevin loving it. I took the picture with my cell phone, so it's not that great. But, you get the idea. Now I just have to find a piano teacher for the boys. We want them all to be able to play a few hymns for their missions.

Now that I have painted one room, I'm dying to paint lots more. I want color throughout my house! Kurls and her fam came to visit this weekend. Matt and Scott took everyone but Kevin and Brooke ice fishing and we went to a paint store. I'm going to do the boys room in camo. Anyway, Kurls said she could paint--she even got me excited by telling me she brought her paint clothes. But, when Scott heard that she thought she was going to paint, he put an end to it fast. She's having some back work done because her back is no good. She said as long as she didn't roll, she would be fine. Scott disagreed--and I sided with Scott. Because no matter how bad I really want to paint and have fun with my sister and niece, I'm not going to send Kurls home in pain because of it. So, if your reading this Karlinda, we'll just have to paint your house together when you are all fixed. And anyone who wants to volunteer to come and have a fun day painting with me, just give me a call. I won't turn you down! I just wish I could be painting right now! Too bad I have a house to clean, a church calling to do, kids who are sick, and a family to feed--I'll paint at midnight when all of those can be put on hold! Ha!
