My broken heart....

We had yet another sleepless night last night. Kevin has a cold and a fever, Jared has the flu--yuck! So, Matt was wonderful to me, he usually goes to work at 7:00 which leaves me all of the morning rush to have the kids out the door by 8:00 for school. (No, Manti doesn't do busses--crazy I know.) So Matt didn't go to work until just before 8:00 so he could take the boys (He worked from 7:00 am till 10:00 pm yesterday). We were taking shortcuts wherever we could, and we asked the boys if they wanted school lunch. They were kind enough to say yes. David's reponse was classic and so David. He said, "Yes, because I got my heart broken when I ate on Tuesday and they didn't have what I thought it was!" (This was all said in a whiny voice.) Oh, the truth comes out. Girls only have a broken heart when it comes to people. Boys mostly have broken hearts when it comes to food. The way to a boys heart is always through his stomach.

  1. Poor David. I agree completely with the boy/girl thing- every night, before I turn the lights out in the boy's room, Price asks me what we're going to have for breakfast the next morning. He is seriously disturbed if I tell him I don't know. Food definitely rules his world. On the other hand, it is really easy to get on his good side! (chocolate cake, sausage pizza, or chili work really well)
