Foster care

My blog has been silent but my heart has been full. I have been wondering how to continue with my blog and I haven't yet figured it out.

Last April Matt and I were officially licensed as foster care providers. The day after we got our final interview and go ahead we had 4 children move in with us for 3 weeks.

What a whirlwind that was. We love those kids and were amazed at all they taught us. 2 of our boys had to sleep in an unfinished basement so that we had room for the 4 additions. It was a hard 3 weeks for all of us. Those kids had been through more than I could ever imagine. They taught me about things I didn't even know where out they. They were only little kids and they already knew so much. I felt so sheltered and blessed. When they came they didn't know anything about Jesus, how to pray to Heavenly Father, or how loved and special they were. We were blessed to teach them all of that. And they were sponges, taking it all in like it was a life line. Which for them it was. When they left our home they went to another foster home that had room for them without putting kids in big unfinished basements. We still see them and they are doing so amazing!

A little over a week ago we got 2 more children. This will be more long term. They already have all of us wrapped around their fingers. This has changed our family for the better. Blessings pour down from heaven in our home.

My Jason said it best. "As soon as they walked into our home it felt like we had walked into the temple."

I can't post any pictures due to safety for the children. But I feel I need to post my feelings because this is my history for my children. So my blog will most likely become picture-less for a while because i take pictures of all my family, these 2 newest included.

Foster care is truly a blessing!!!!
