Wrecks and a birthday

There has been TONS going on. It's so hard to keep up with it all. The past week I feel like my brain has just shut down because of it all. Ryan got his call! That's the main thing that threw my life off. More on that later. For now I'm going to catch up a little.

Matt had a birthday! I LOVE this man of mine!!!
Matt and Ryan
We were hoping Ryan's call would come for a birthday gift for Matt but it didn't. We had to wait an entire holiday weekend.
All my boys and our dog, Missy. Matts favorite breakfast, hash browns, eggs and link sausage.
Pumpkin pie. I told him after 40 he only got 1 candle to blow out :).
Ryan and Jared. Matt took the day off work and worked on the house. For his birthday he finished the tile in our house. Typical Matt :). The next day he went for a ride with the boys. That's when the first accident happened…
I don't have pictures of that one, but it wasn't pretty. David was going to fast, hit a big rock, and rolled his four wheeler. Thankfully, miraculously, he was thrown from the atv and only got lots a bruises and a scratched up knee and hip. He is almost all better now. That was on Saturday.

The following Tuesday Jason was on his way to school on his four wheeler and a car didn't see him. So the driver went through the yield sign and hit the back of his four wheeler. He was knocked off and blacked out for just a few seconds. I had to take him to the dr twice. Jason's chest hurt bad when he would breath deep so I took him in a couple hours after the accident. I wasn't sure if I should even take him, and honestly the reality of what has happened hadn't really hit me yet. It wasn't until I was at the hospital and explaining what happened that it hit me. My son was hit by a car! Of course I needed to have him examined. I'm such an idiot.…
They asked if he wanted a warm blanket. I told him how awesome they were. He liked it but not as much as I do. I'm always cold. He had them bring him one just to humor me I'm sure :). They sent us home with instructions to take it easy and watch him close for a few days.

Then a little over a week later he came home from school with his hip killing where he had got some road rash from the accident. It was swollen like crazy. I didn't think to take pictures until it had gone down significantly. He had some internal bleeding but after the ultra sound we were happy to know all was well :).

Needless to say I don't really like four wheelers right now. I'm getting a little better but I still don't let them ride them to school anymore. No rides without Matt unless they're going to work. And even then I would rather drive them.

Oh that I could wrap my boys in a bubble.
