A little bit of Spring Break.....our favorite part :)

We had Spring Break a couple weeks ago.

It was warmer then than it is now.....thank goodness!

I've been so cold all day.

I'm by they fire right now letting it soak into my weary cold bones.

Anyway, for the first part of the week long break my boys worked and worked and worked.

They got a shed completely up and roofed.

The door and the siding were the only thing that needed to be done when some of our favorite people ever, Gretchen, Ben, & Meagan Northcott, rolled into town on Wed night.

Then it was all playing for the rest of the week.

And what fun it was too.

Gretchen is really good at taking pictures, unlike me, and she was kind enough to e-mail all of these to me.

She's the best!

Thursday morning everyone but Jared, Kev, Me, and Matt (because he went to work) hopped on the 4-wheelers grabbed their guns and went for a ride.

The Northcott's just love that we can ride our 4-wheelers in town, legally.

They live in Manila, where we used to live before moving here.

A town of about 250 people and only one paved road.

But you can't ride any ATVs on them.

Not at all.

It's against the law.

So we took lots of trips on them going anywhere we could think of.

Friday afternoon Matt took work off early and we all set out to hike to the M.

Which is tons farther and harder to get to than it looks!

We packed hot dogs, buns, ketchup, smores stuff, roasting sticks, matches, water, oranges, etc into backpacks and headed up the hill.

I was so proud of my Kev, only 5 and he walked with his backpack all the way there and all the way home again.

We went to the ridge above the M for our cook out.
