Spring Break Re-cap

Yesterday morning I sent my boys back to school after a week break.
It was a very sad day.
I wasn't ready to send them back yet and they weren't ready to go.
We had such a great break!
Kevin & Daddy enjoying a good book while Matt was home for lunch.
 Kevin "reading" Calvin & Hobbes

We got to have Braydon & Maddie over the last Friday before the break started.
Maddie was so cute to keep trying different hats on that I had made :)
Here's Kevin modeling one I made for little Clark--who is much smaller than Kev so I figure it should last him a while :)

The first Sunday of the break we went to Penny's house in Eagle Mountain.
They blessed little Ivan at church so we doubled the size of their primary with all the family there :)
Right when we got to Penny's house my boys started having fun with the letters on her fridge....
Jason had to be pretty creative to make this sign...."NO MORE GIRLS"
Silly boy :)

Then Brooke & Lakyn successfully talked us into staying the night at their house and having Matt take a vacation day on Monday.
It was Juani's b-day Monday so we were so happy to be there for that!.
 Juanita & Enoch
Of course, Juan in on a sugar free challenge, Scott & Kurls too, so it was some sugar free banana bread Kurls had made that she got to celebrate with.
I was nice and offered her some Cadbury Eggs, which she was rude enough to reject.
I was proud of her :)

We got home way late Monday.
Matt went to work Tuesday and half of Wednesday.
Then Wednesday afternoon Matt and I went to see a neurologist--with no luck, but it was a fun date:)
Although we did go see Hunger Games, which was a bad movie that I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Before we left Wednesday we got some baby lambs....
I will introduce them to you tomorrow.

The boys worked on a fort, lizard catching, and all around fun laziness the rest of the week.
It was PERFECT!
 Ryan "cleaning" the 4-wheeler
It had a ton of mud on it which he assured me would come off if I let him take it for a drive.
He was right.....it worked :)
I guess that's the fun way to clean things.
 Kevin, Jason & Jared
Playing on the swings exactly how I did when I was young.
I watched them for over an hour just taking all the laughing in.

I got some fancy yarn I had never worked with before from Kurls.
I LOVE it!
Here Jason is modeling the scarf I made out of the yarn.
Penny says it's not really the right color for him :)

I already told you about Saturday haircuts....
 Here's Kev with Barber Matt:)
What an amazing man I am married to!

And it wasn't just me who had yarn in my hands during conference.
See......
Every single boy, including Matt, rolled yarn into balls for me.
Even the ones I didn't really want rolled yet.
It kept everyone awake, alert, and focused on Conference.
Perfect.

Now we're back into the real world.
School, work, and exercise.
Less than 7 weeks to go till summer!!!!

  1. I am so glad you had a good spring break! Mine consisted of screaming, fighting sisters, and one Momma who failed to plan anything . . . school was a very welcome sight yesterday morning!
Neurologists aren't very fun! Hope you are doing ok.
