A day at Flaming Gorge

At the beginning of June we armed ourselves with calendars and schedules trying to finalize all of our summer plans. The boys and I wanted to take a week and go to Vernal (to visit my fam). The only week that worked was the week right after Pageant--not usually a time that I have the energy to do anything at all! But because we wanted to go so bad, we decided to tackle the trip. We changed our plans to include Manila--because who can be that close to a family they love and not visit them also?! Plus I had two of the Northcotts with me and needed to get them home. :)
Here's just a few pic's of the great time we had spending an entire day at Flaming Gorge...

Nate & Meagan on the wonderful Wave runner--so much fun!!!

David decided to take a little row on the boat--I wouldn't let him go too far without a life jacket.
Matt & Nate trying to get Ben, Jason, & David soaked.
Lots of water fights and lots of laughs.
Jared and Kevin on the little "raft" that didn't want to hold much air.
Jason with his "Fruit of Looms" showing.
Just a little side note--he wore these clothes for the next 2 days!!! I don't know how many times I asked him to change and he wouldn't. His backpack with all of his clothes actually stayed in the car the entire 3 days we were at the Northcotts--he didn't change until we went to Vernal and I took him swimming at the Rec Center--then when I asked him if he was going to change he said, "Well of course Mom! I'm in my swimming suit, I have to put clean underwear on now."
I know--I look terrible! I'm more tired and un-showered, didn't even fix my hair. But oh how relaxing!!!! Sitting at the "beach" knitting the hunting hat for my sweetheart. What a great day!
Meagan and a crawdad--Yum!
Jason, David, Ben and lots of crawdads they caught.
They wanted to bring them home and cook them, until we told them they had to eat them after they cooked them. They decided to let them go before we left.

More pic's to come...
