The "catch" of the partyWe had some games planned, but after the friends got here, the only thing Jason wanted to do was go and catch scorpions! (I know, that's crazy!) They have perfected catching them using rocks and long sticks. I don't really want to know how they do it, as long as they NEVER touch one! They like to catch a few, then put a bunch of ants in the bucket, and watch them fight. The crazy thing is, the ants always win!

Jason loved his cake!He was playing outside while I made it and couldn't believe his eyes when he walked in as saw it. One happy, happy boy! "Mom, it's awesome! It's better than I thought it would be! Thanks!!!" He's so sweet!
What a special boy my Jason is!!! He's still such a miracle to me. At this time each year I always remember the helicopter flying away with my baby. It's still hard to see it, and my heart still sinks each time I see a life flight helicopter fly above me. I know that some family is suffering because of who is in the helicopter and praying hard to have the person be better. Now look at him--he's 9, full of life, amazing!! Prayers are answered!
