An airsoft gun! Oh the joys of children. We had 4 extras living with us for a while in June so they could be in pageant. Well, all the younger ones, my boys and the Northcotts, decided that Jared would want an airsoft gun for his birthday! So they all pitched their money together and my sister, Heidy, took them to the store, and they got him one. Jared has probably only got to shoot it once. You see, at that age you buy the toy for your little brother that you really want for yourself. The gun was confiscated by one mean mom (aka me) after they woke Sam and Ally up early one morning by shooting them with it! I'll give it back when I'm in a good mood. Oh, Jared's favorite part of the gun is the laser. He took it off so he could play with it while the older boys played with the gun. :)Jared's birthday was on Father's Day this year. And it also happened to be in the middle of pageant performances, and a day before Grandpa Christensen's Birthday. So, needless to say, we were VERY tired on his birthday. All I wanted to do was sleep--but instead I made three cakes. One for Jared (my special 6yr old!), one for Grandpa, and one for all the dads who came over for dinner (it was really for Matt, but I had to include all the others :). All in all, it was a good day for everyone. Jared had lots of people here and felt like he had a great party. His cake was just what he wanted--lots of candy on it, and he got an art kit from Matt and I. Life is pretty good for our little Jared. And he's growing up on us! We love you Jared!
