The boys, and Sam, all wanted to make some candy this afternoon. The kitchen was beyond dirty, so I told them if they got it all cleaned, I would make some with them. They cleaned, while Matt and I napped--happy days. There was one problem though, I left my cook book at Juanita's house. So, we decided on Toffee and David called Aunt Holly to get the recipe. Here is a copy of what David wrote.
Notice the "Green Tube Oil". David had no idea what that was, so he asked Aunt Holly if it was "bring to boil" or "green tube oil". He is sure she said, "Green Tube Oil". So he wrote it down and thought, "Gee, that's weird. I don't know of any green oil in a tube." We all had a good laugh over that one--even Aunt Holly when I called her back to let her know.
